The Banner of the Order - le gonfanon baussant:

The banner consist of a Black (sable) square over a white (argent) square, with a red Maltese Cross. Our banner today symbolizes our service to humanity, mainly by international and social humanitarian aid work that the Order and its Knights and Dames perform all over the world.
